Hello Glaitness Primary School!

It was good to talk to you all today. Thank you for calling. The time delay with our voices was a little hard. I hope you understood me.

We've looked at your pictures and really love them. Thank you for all of your questions. The most interesting one was how deep is the snow..... because we walk on top of the snow like it is the ground. It's so frozen.

Honey is a cute dog, eh? He is 4. He is loveable.

Todd wants to know how big is your school.
Elizabeth wants to know how many classrooms you have. She also thinks your gym looks fun.
We all think your playground looks fun. Nadine would like to know what other things you have to play with on the playground.
Nick thinks your pool is nice! We have one too, but it hasn't been open in about 10 years. :( Our circus group practices in the empty pool.
Was it fun to practice with a kayak? Elizabeth wants to know.

Our students also have websites, but it is through www.bebo.com. Do you use that? If so, you could see it if you wanted.

Well, your photos are very interesting. Thank you for sharing them!
Talk to you soon,
Ataguttaaluk Elementary School

Hi Ataguttaaluk Elementary School,

Hi Todd and Elizabeth - Our school has 184 children and we have 17 classroom areas as well as a library and art room. We have a dinner hall and a new gym hall. We have a new climbing frame in the gym. We like to play dodgeball inside in winter but we like rounders outside in summer.

Hi Nadine- We have a 'peedie' playpark our playground (peedie means small in Orcadian dialect). We have some games we can take outside like ropes for skipping, balls, bean bags and bats. There are balancing games, aiming games and a big 4 in a row game and lots more.

Hi Nick - We enjoyed the games in the kayaks but we would like to go back and try some more paddling skills in the boats. Have you learned to paddle a kayak? Is it part of what you learn at school? Who would teach you if you wanted to learn? We also sometimes get the chance to paddle kayaks outside on flat water in the summer. We like that best.

Your circus group sounds interesting. Could you tell us more? What sort of performances do they practice? Do you have any pictures of them?

Enjoy your February break.
Thanks for the photos of you opening the box.
